      • I read your Silver Lakes review. Do you think it’s worth a stop on my next trip to RTJ given all the storm damage? I will also look forward to your comments on Capitol Hill. Did you play Ross Bridge when you stayed there? I loved that bombers paradise. Can’t wait for my next trip back to the trail. Thanks,

  2. Brian –

Absolute YES on Silver Lakes. It’s in the middle of no where, but I loved the courses. Mr. Jones did a nice job of building up and laying out Silver Lakes, but the Almighty made them capable of being great by pulling down all those trees. When even the slightest wind is up, the courses are a real challenge. And the vistas now from the higher elevations are unbelievable.

We didn’t play Ross Bridge on our trip last year, so I’m looking forward to playing it on my next trip down I-65.

  3. Dave, I see where the PGA Tour is playing the 2015 Barbasol Championship in July on RTJ Grand National Lakes. If you are playing Grand National on your trip, you should have excellent conditions as they get the course ready. I played Lakes and thought it the better of the two courses. Hope you get to play it and don’t forget to try the par-3 course at GN. I thought it was awesome! Good luck!

    • Thanks for the heads up on the par-3, Brian. We used the par-3 at Oxmoor Valley as a warm up on the 2013 trip, and it was time well spent. I’m really looking forward to playing “where the Pros play” at Grand National, and also playing where the LPGA plays at Capitol Hill outside Montgomery.
